Brett is the Founder of Landes Fairmount, whose primary business is the acquisition of single-tenant real estate. Since 2006, Brett has been involved in the acquisition of more than 900 single-tenant properties totaling more than $6 billion. Brett joined The Staubach Company in 1992. Three years later, in 1995, he founded Staubach Capital Partners, specializing in single tenant sale leaseback acquisitions. Brett has acquired over $14 billion in single tenant assets since 1995. Mr. Staubach has been a partner with Brett in numerous real estate ventures, including SCP Capital, formed nine years ago. Brett is also a partner in Vintage Interests, a real estate acquisition firm focused on warehouse properties throughout the Southwest. Additionally, Brett is the founder of The Landes Group, owner of several assets in Texas and Arizona. The Landes Group, in conjunction with SCP Capital, has purchased and owned property in 40 states. Brett is chairman and founder of Landes Foods, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Using state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, Landes Foods currently supplies over 40 types of tortillas and chips to companies such as Brinker Intl., CKE Restaurants, Owens, Sara Lee and Tyson Foods. The company was founded in 2004 and currently supplies tortillas and chips throughout the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. Brett received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Bryan College in 1982. While at Bryan, he was designated a member of the First Team, All-American in Basketball. Brett is very active in community service, serving as a current and former fundraiser and sponsor for various charities including Cattle Barons, St. Paul Medical and Little Heroes.
Cathy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She began her career as a staff auditor with Ernst & Young in Houston, followed by two years as Assistant Controller for a local Savings & Loan. She spent the next five years as General Accounting Manager for an international manufacturer of paper and plastic packaging products (currently Reynolds Food Packaging, a subsidiary of Alcoa). She has extensive experience in the automobile and watercraft retail industry, specializing in streamlining operations. From 1999 to 2003, Cathy was Controller and later, Vice-President of Contracts & Sales Administration for an international software company, providing wired and wireless public Internet access solutions and remote management software. Prior to joining the Landes Group, Cathy was Chief Financial Officer for a Dallas-based multi-family real estate developer. Cathy is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society of CPA’s as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a member of Financial Executives International – Dallas Chapter and sits on the Board of Directors of three Texas based companies.
As Managing Director of Landes Fairmount, Justin brings over 16 years of experience specializing in single-tenant acquisitions, dispositions, debt and equity placement, asset management and leasing, having been involved in over $650 million in transactions. Justin is also a partner in the Landes Fairmount Group focused on retail acquisitions. Previously, Justin was the asset manager for Vintage Interests and was responsible for directing acquisitions and the leasing and management of over 2 million square feet of commercial properties. Prior to joining Vintage Interests in 2006, Justin was with Holliday, Fenoglio, Fowler, L.P., where he was responsible for placing over $325 million within the capital marketplace through debt and equity placement, structured finance and investment sales. Justin currently serves on the board of Walle Corporation, a leading label supplier to the consumer packaged goods industry. Justin received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Economics and a minor in Business Foundations.
Austin has been with Landes Fairmount since its inception. He is involved in acquisitions, dispositions, financing and marketing operations. Austin provides expertise in finance as well as commercial real estate credit. Prior to Landes Fairmount, Austin was a sales and services officer at BB&T Corporation, where he was involved in over $200 million in commercial credit. Austin also gained insight into commercial banking by attending BB&T’s Leadership Development Program in North Carolina. Prior to BB&T, Austin worked for a real estate investment firm acquiring and asset managing industrial and single-tenant retail product. Austin received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with honors.
