Bryant Sparkman is responsible for sourcing Century | Urban’s real estate investment opportunities in addition to providing real estate economic and strategic advisory services to third party clients. Bryant has over 18 years of real estate investment, development, and institutional asset management experience that encompasses a wide range of property types including commercial office buildings, multifamily apartments, for-sale residential-condominiums, full-service hotels, and large-scale mixed-use projects such as the landmark Hotel and Residences at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Bryant has provided advisory services on over $4 billion of real estate projects in San Francisco and has significant expertise in the successful consummation of public-private-partnerships.
As a principal of Century | Urban, Leo leads real estate advisory engagements with public and private clients, such as the Port of San Francisco and the City and County of San Francisco with regard to the 3-million-square-foot Pier 70 Waterfront Site development project in San Francisco. Leo Ma has over 21 years of real estate experience, during which he has been involved in acquiring, developing, and managing billions of dollars in properties. Prior to Century | Urban, Leo served as Chief Financial Officer for Waypoint Homes, a leader in the emerging industry of single-family rental housing that invested over $400 million in acquiring, renovating, leasing and managing more than 2,500 homes in Arizona, California, Georgia, and Illinois during his tenure with the firm.
Griselda Blackburn has over 10 years of experience in providing real estate, financial, and economic advisory services to municipal and institutional clients. She previously served as Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager for BlackRock, Inc. where she assisted in launching the firm’s first land development fund. Her responsibilities included conducting an economic feasibility study, developing the fund’s investment strategy, authoring the private placement memorandum and performing the initial underwriting for several high profile investment opportunities to seed the new fund. Furthermore, Griselda was responsible for directing portfolio operations for two real estate multifamily funds including strategic direction, property operations, and acquisition and disposition opportunities.
