Mr. Brice is president and chief investment officer of CarVal Investors, responsible the leading the firm’s investments and operations globally. Mr. Brice joined Cargill in 1996 where he worked on the European equity arbitrage desk for the Global Capital Markets group. In 1998, he transferred to the firm, and was named senior partner in 2005, responsible for leading the Corporate Securities business and managing the firm’s global investments. In 2008, he was named president of CarVal, and he currently serves on the firm’s board of directors. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brice worked for the private equity and quoted asset management division of Friends Provident, a major United Kingdom life assurance company. He holds a B.Sc. in economics and accounting from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Mr. Brice is a qualified chartered accountant.
Mr. Graf is a senior managing director for CarVal Investors. He is responsible for managing Corporate Securities investments in emerging markets, focusing on trades in distressed assets, high-yield assets, structured products and equities. Prior to joining CarVal in 2006, Mr. Graf was a director at Credit Suisse First Boston, focusing on emerging markets distressed, high-yield and structured product investments. Mr. Graf holds a B.A. in economics from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Mr. Vorbrich is chief financial officer of CarVal Investors and a member of the firm’s board of directors. He is responsible for leading CarVal’s global operations and serves on all investment committees. Mr. Vorbrich joined Cargill’s Law Department in 1994 where his practice supported Cargill Value Investment. He transferred to the firm in 1997 and relocated to Japan in 1998 to help establish the Japan Value Investment business. He returned to the U.S. in 2003 as a senior managing director responsible for managing the firm’s real estate investments. Prior to joining Cargill, Mr. Vorbrich practiced law in Minneapolis with the Banking/Commercial Group of Faegre & Benson. Mr. Vorbrich received his MBA with a concentration in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his A.B. from Dartmouth College.
